BrakeTireGuide sets no cookies. There is nothing ad-supported running here and nothing measuring you, so neither the site nor any third party drops a file in your browser — confirmed in a browser on a live page. Nothing goes into local storage, and there is no banner, since there is nothing to consent to.
What is stored
Nothing, in cookie terms. Our hosting provider keeps server logs — IP address, time, page, browser — which are not cookies and are covered in the privacy policy, along with the country lookup that the contact form and search use. Some pages load an author avatar from Gravatar; that is one image, not a cookie.
Where to opt out
There is nothing to opt out of, but your browser settings still let you block or delete cookies from any site at will. This list will be rewritten before BrakeTireGuide sets any cookie — which, as of today, it does not.
